‘Carnage For Christmas’ Exclusive Photos: Alice Maio Mackay’s New Holiday Horror Is Out For Blood
19-year-old Australian filmmaker Alice Maio Mackay is already quite prolific, with her third feature T Blockers now on the festival circuit. Plus, just last week, Fangoria announced the title of Alice Maio Mackay’s fifth feature, Carnage for Christmas. Mackay is diving right into holiday horror and we couldn’t be more excited. To quell that excitement, we have a few more exclusive photos from the film to tease the titular carnage.
Read the film’s full synopsis below:
When true-crime podcaster and sleuth Lola visits her hometown at Christmas for the first time since running away and transitioning, the vengeful ghost of a historical murderer and urban legend seemingly arises to kill again. Lola must solve the case before her community is slaughtered. She’s up against not only a psychotic killer, but a town haunted by secrets.
Mackay wrote the film with her co-writer Ben Pahl Robinson. Aaron Schuppan lenses with the film with special effects by Adele Shearwin and costume design by Iris Mcerlean. Plus, Emmy-nominated editor and the mind behind The People’s Joker Vera Drew will be editing Carnage For Christmas.
