The #1 Horror Movie on Paramount+ Is A Nasty, Bloody Good Time

This 2023 bloody movie is finally streaming, and many of us are taking advantage of that by getting in on the Yeehaw horror bandwagon. Organ Trail is the #1 horror film on Paramount+ today. Allow us to do-si-do around the spoilers to tell you why you should check it out.

Rotten Tomatoes Synopsis

“Abigale and her family fall victim to a gang of ruthless cowboys while making their way across the Oregon Trail. As the only survivor, she does whatever it takes to retrieve her family’s horse from the clutches of the bloodthirsty bandits.”

Organ Trail was directed by Michael Patrick Jann. It was written by Meg Turner. The cast includes Zoé De Grand Maison, Mather Zickel, Lisa LoCicero, Lukas Jann, Olivia Grace Applegate, Alejandro Akara, and Sam Trammell.

While I am not a fan of Westerns, I am a fan of horror scripts written by women, so I will be watching this ASAP. I am also double excited now that I know Sam Trammell (of True Blood) is in the cast. He came up as one of the performers highlighted in Tyler Doupe’s review of the movie.

“The film’s characters are surprisingly memorable. Sam Trammell of True Blood fame and famed comedic actor Thomas Lennon (Reno 911) both turn in entertaining showings. Lennon’s screentime is brief, but he makes the most of it. And Trammell is almost unrecognizable from his well-known role on True Blood. His accent, mannerisms, and speech patterns are far removed from his tenure on the HBO vampire series.”
