San Diego Comic-Con 2013: Fright Night 2 Trailer to Take a Bite Out of Comic-ConWondering just what the hell Fright Night 2 is? A sequel? A redux? Both? Well, sit tight, fiends, as Fox is bringing the sequel to San Diego; and you can rest assured we’ll have it for you right here when the time comes.

As per a recent press release from the studio…

“Get a sneak peak at the upcoming gore-fest FRIGHT NIGHT 2 with a Comic-Con exclusive flash drive featuring the all-new trailer and more for the film starring Jaime Murray.”

In the flick Chris Waller plays the role of “Evil” Ed Bates. Christopher Mintz-Plasse played “Ed” in the remake and the character was already killed off. Why he’s back is anyone’s guess. Will Payne will play the lead role of Charlie, which was played by Anton Yelchin in the 2011 version. Sean Power is playing Peter Vincent, and they will all star alongside “Dexter”’s Jaime Murray, Sacha Parkinson, John-Christian Bateman, Liana Margineanu, Alina Minzu, Adi Hostiuc, and Joelle Coutinho.

Eduardo Rodriguez directs.

Synopsis
When high school student Charlie attends a study abroad program with his horror-obsessed friend “Evil” Ed and ex-girlfriend Amy in Romania, he soon discovers their young attractive professor Gerri (Jaime Murray) is a real life vampire. Too bad no one believes him. In fact, Evil Ed finds it amusing, and it only feeds his vampire obsession. When Gerri turns Ed, Charlie seeks out Peter Vincent, the infamous vampire hunter (well, he plays one on TV) who is in Romania filming his show “Fright Night,” to teach him how to take down Gerri before she gets to Amy, whose blood will cure Gerri of spending eternity as a vampire.
