HorrOrigins Film Fest Will Haunt Tucson this Month

HorrOrigins Film Fest

If you’re a horror fan, there is no shortage of amazing festivals and networking opportunities out there. As the end of the year approaches, genre fans have Brooklyn Horror Fest and Fantastic Fest to look forward to. HorrOrigins, Brandon Waites’ festival founded in 2019, is also gearing up for a four-day indie horror extravaganza in Tucson this month. Running September 28 through October 1, HorrOrigins promises to bring features, shorts, and indie animation from around the globe to festival audiences.

Waites describes HorrOrigins as “a celebration of independent horror cinema,” wisely noting that the independent frontier is where so many of the coolest, most striking innovations are being made. He goes on to say, “I’m proud to help provide a space for them to have their work seen by new audiences and to give them some of the recognition they rightfully deserve.”

This year’s festival will be the first to include a fourth day of screenings since its inception. Waites promises this year’s festival will be “packed with quality horror you’re not going to want to miss.” Concurrent with the festival, networking opportunities will be available at Serial Grillers on Speedway Blvd throughout the course of the festival. There, fans and filmmakers hoping to connect will have an opportunity to do so.
