This Time Travel Slasher is Totally Topping the Prime Video Charts

Totally Killer Prime Video

Nahnatchka Khan’s Totally Killer is totally cute, and now, it’s the number one movie on Prime Video. The time-travel slasher movie culls from the likes of The Finals Girls and Happy Death Day while also carving out an identity all its own. It’s a fresh, wickedly funny slasher abounding with both heart and plenty of gore.

Check out the synopsis and trailer below!

When the infamous “Sweet Sixteen Killer” returns 35 years after his first murder spree to claim another victim, 17-year-old Jamie (Kiernan Shipka) accidentally travels back in time to 1987, determined to stop the killer before he can start.

In a review for Dread Central, our own Tyler Doupe said, “The killer makes for a memorable addition to the slasher pantheon and left me curious to see where a follow-up effort might take the action.” I couldn’t agree more. I’d love to see more of what Khan has planned for this world. Plus, Kiernan Shipka in a slasher movie is never something I’m going to scoff at.

And I’m not the only one. Fans have also been totally loving Totally Killer.

My parents would absolutely have bullied me if I traveled back in time. Totally Killer is one of the most surprising releases of the year, and I’m thrilled to see it resonate with general audiences and horror fans alike. It’s another win for Blumhouse, too, as they continue to prove their effortless command of the horror genre (The Exorcist: Believer notwithstanding).
