The #1 Netflix Movie Is A Survival-Thriller Nightmare: “My anxiety was through the roof”
If you love a good thriller, I have just the suggestion for you. But brace yourself; it sounds like a doozy. This film has claimed the number-one spot on the Netflix global charts and is winning over viewers in a big way. The picture is called Nowhere.
Though it has only been on the streamer since September 29th, this harrowing effort is already getting under people’s skin and making them feel deeply.
As one viewer put it, “…my anxiety was through the roof” and “I haven’t cried this much watching a film in long time…”
Fans of Nowhere are praising the picture’s emotional core and the tenacity of its leading lady. I haven’t yet had the resolve to watch it. Seeing as the flick isn’t exactly lighthearted viewing, I am waiting until I am in the right headspace. But I am, nonetheless, eager to check Nowhere out very soon.
Plot synopsis via Rotten Tomatoes: “Pregnant, alone, and drifting in the sea, a woman trapped in a shipping container tries to survive after fleeing a devastated totalitarian country.”
Twitter reactions to Nowhere:
The film’s cast may not be immediately familiar to U.S. audiences. But I suspect that this groundbreaking effort will see several of the key players breaking out globally. Among the core cast members are Anna Castillo, Tamar Novas, and Tony Corvillo.
The Netflix original thriller is helmed by Albert Pintó, who previously directed an episode of the hit series Money Heist.
