Bubba The Redneck Werewolf Feature Comes Back from the Dead It’s been many, and I mean MANY, years since last we heard anything about the proposed live action adaptation of the cult comic favorite Bubba the Redneck Werewolf, but like a phoenix from the ashes it is back!

From the Press Release
In the town of Broken Taint, a vicious evil is unleashed, offering the dreams of humanity if you just sign on the dotted line. One lovesick dog catcher makes a deal with the Devil, and not only is his life turned upside down, but so is Broken Taint. Bubba the Redneck Werewolf is born, and the town goes to Hell while his local bar is filled with the Damned, Bubba figures out how to beat the Devil—but first, he needs another beer and maybe some hot wings. When the fate of humanity is in Bubba’s hands, Heaven help us all!

Based off the underground comic book classic Bubba the Redneck Werewolf by Mitch Hyman, the film was written and directed by Stephen Biro and produced by Unearthed Films, And You Films, and Two Rubbing Nickels Ltd.

Stephen Biro is the CEO of Unearthed Films, producer of Philosophy of a Knife, author of Hellucination, Dialogue with the Devil, The Ultimate Dead Baby Joke Book, The Ultimate Dead Baby Cookbook, All Work and No Play, and the upcoming novel Satan Reborn.

Mitch Hyman is the creator of Bubba the Redneck Werewolf. He wrote for “Cracked” and fired Donald Trump. Mitch also wrote Hitmen in Paradise, Dr. Sarcophagus and His Carnival of Dark Desires.

Bubba the Redneck Werewolf has been a comic book series for over ten years. Bubba will be a horror comedy in the vein of– all of them. Shooting for Bubba begins on August 2nd in Crystal River, Florida.

This week we chat with filmmaker, producer, composer, writer, author...this guy's done it all...John Harrison. From working with George Romero on everything from Creepshow and Dawn of the Dead to Tales from the Darkside to the Dune miniseries to his Netflix series Residue...he's done it all. He even directed Tales from the Darkside: The Movie, which was Andrew LaSane's Scarred for Life pick, which is one of Terry's favorite movies. We chat about his long history in cinema; about how he started working with Romero to some insights into Tales from the Darkside. And we discuss his latest work, the novel Residue: Paramentals Rising, which is a sequel to the Netflix show. After learning about his horror history--including a memorable viewing of Night of the Living Dead--we find out why The Haunting terrified him as a twelve year old.
