Nothing Left to Fear Slashes Its Way Into CanadaIt was just a couple of weeks ago when we showed you the trailer for Nothing Left to Fear, the first film from music legend Slash’s new production company, Slasher Films (get it?!). Now we have news of the Canadian release!

Anchor Bay is set to release the film here in the States in limited theaters on October 4th and then on home video and On Demand October 8th, and today comes the announcement that Raven Banner Entertainment has picked up the film for distribution in the Great White North. Previous releases for Raven Banner include John Dies at the End and Hatchet III, and they plan on releasing Slash’s first foray into horror this coming fall.

From the Press Release
Raven Banner Entertainment has acquired Canadian rights to Slasher Films’ Nothing Left to Fear, directed by Anthony Leonardi III. Slasher Films is the new horror label conceived by legendary guitar hero Slash (Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver) and the producing team of Rob Eric and Academy Award winning producer Michael Williams (Session 9, Transsiberian, The Fog of War).

Nothing Left to Fear was inspired by the mysterious legend of Stull, Kansas. Wendy (Anne Heche), her husband Dan (James Tupper of Revenge) and their three children have just moved to a small town where Dan is the new pastor. But in this sleepy community of friendly neighbours, a horrific series of occurrences await them; their teenage daughter (Rebekah Brandes of Bellflower) is being tormented by grisly visions, and her younger sister (Jennifer Stone of Wizards of Waverly Place) has been marked for a depraved ritual to keep the demon from escaping from this gateway to Hell. Ethan Peck (10 Things I Hate About You) and Clancy Brown (The Shawshank Redemption) co-star as townspeople who may know more than they let on.

For decades television, music, movies, and more have cautiously addressed the town, its horror so infamous even Pope John Paul II ordered his plane to fly around Eastern Kansas because he did not want to fly over “unholy” ground. Nothing Left to Fear finally pulls the folklore to the forefront and reveals the unsettling fact and fiction rumbling beneath the surface. Featuring all new original music from producer Slash and Nicholas O’Toole, Nothing Left to Fear is the first film to be produced in the Slasher Films slate and was written by Jonathan W.C. Mills.

“Raven Banner is thrilled to be bringing Slash’s new vision of horror to Canada,” says Raven Banner’s Managing Partner Michael Paszt.

“We admire Raven Banner’s innovative distribution strategy and their eclectic taste in genre storytelling,” says producer Rob Eric. “We’re confident we’ve found the right home and could not be more pleased to be partnering with them on this film.”

Raven Banner plans to release the film theatrically in the fall through its Sinister Cinema series with partners Cineplex Entertainment.
