Denzel Washington Peacock

Denzel Washington is a national treasure. So, of course, we all live for his long resume of action-packed thrillers. It’s the best of both worlds because you get to see him give the award-caliber performances he’s known for while having some fun. This is why we’re happy to see Safe House has made its way to Netflix. If you’re unfamiliar with this title, I’m here with the synopsis, trailer, and encouragement to make today a Denzel Day.

In the film,

“For the past year, rookie CIA agent Matt Weston (Ryan Reynolds) has been eager to prove himself while cooling his heels at an inactive South African post. He gets the chance when Tobin Frost (Denzel Washington), a turncoat operative, is brought to Weston’s safe house for debriefing. But soon after Frost’s arrival, mercenaries attack, and Weston and Frost barely escape with their lives. The two men must join forces and try to stay alive long enough to figure out who wants them dead.”

Safe House was directed by Daniel Espinosa and written by David Guggenheim. It stars Denzel Washington, Ryan Reynolds, Robert Patrick, Vera Farmiga, Brendan Gleeson, and Liam Cunningham.

I have actually watched Safe House and have to agree with Twitter. Denzel gives us yet another masterclass in acting that makes it hard to not enjoy the movie. However, nobody cares what I think.
