Get ready because writer and director Andy Edwards is about to unleash a new iconic slash villain the likes that Britain has never seen. You may be familiar with the Punch and Judy show, a classic puppet show featuring the titular Mr. Punch and his wife Judy. Now, Edwards is imagining Mr. Punch as a bat-wielding psychopath with a taste for blood.

Before heading back to university, Frankie craves one final night out in her coastal hometown, but sinister local legend Mr. Punch is on the prowl, and chaos ensues as Frankie and her friends fight for survival in this eerie slasher.

In his review from the 2023 edition of FrightFest, Dread Central’s David Gelmini said,
While it certainly has its flaws, Punch still proves to be a memorable and thought-provoking entry into the minuscule plethora of British slasher movies. Fans of the slasher subgenre will certainly need to seek it out when it eventually receives a general release.
