This Devilish Psychological Thriller Is Now Streaming On Prime Video: “One of the best films of the year!”
One of the more recent movies to break Twitter is finally available to stream! The decadent and devilish Saltburn is now on Prime Video and I am not sure the internet is ready for such an occasion. However, I’m here to get you up to speed on this extravagant affair. Please mind the dress code as you read the synopsis and watch the trailer.
Read the official synopsis:
“Struggling to find his place at Oxford University, student Oliver Quick (Barry Keoghan) finds himself drawn into the world of the charming and aristocratic Felix Catton (Jacob Elordi), who invites him to Saltburn, his eccentric family’s sprawling estate, for a summer never to be forgotten.”
Saltburn was written and directed by Emerald Fennell. The film stars Barry Keoghan, Jacob Elordi, Rosamund Pike, Richard E. Grant, Alison Oliver, Archie Madekwe, and Carey Mulligan.
The movie, like literally anything else, has been very divisive on Twitter. However, most people agree that this is Barry Keoghan’s best performance. After stealing scenes his whole career, he’s finally leading a film with a cast filled with standout performances.
See what Twitter is saying:
I enjoyed Fennell’s season of Killing Eve, and I also liked Promising Young Woman. However, I went into Saltburn expecting it to be another tame “eat the rich but make it boring” movie. Many films have come out in recent years that miss the mark and seemingly use the same tweet as a thesis. However, this movie refused to take the predictably bland route and did something much more complicated. I had a delightful time and tried to capture it all in my review.
I am curious about how the social media winds will blow now that more people will have access to Saltburn. If you also have a date to watch it on Prime Video tonight, then find me at @misssharai. We can keep a nosey eye on Twitter as we watch the movie together.
