Eric Red Looking to Find Zombies in The Dead of NightFilmmaker Eric Red (writer of The Hitcher, Near Dark, director of Body Parts, Bad Moon, 100 Feet) is back looking to flex his fright muscles in the director’s chair for an adaptation of Jonathan Maberry’s zombie opus The Dead of Night.

Red is looking to adapt the novel for the screen and is currently seeking funding. Let’s hope he finds it!

Synopsis
A prison doctor injects a condemned serial killer with a formula designed to keep his consciousness awake while his body rots in the grave. But all drugs have unforeseen side effects. Before he could be buried, the killer wakes up. Hungry. Infected. Contagious. Small town cop Dez Fox and her partner JT are caught in a wave of murder as everyone they know and love die, only to rise again as the ravenous living dead. If Dez and JT can’t contain the plague inside the town limits, the infection will spread beyond all control. This is the way the world ends. Not with a bang… but a bite.

Episode 266: Opus Writer/Director Mark Anthony Green and Michael Jackson's Thriller (1983)

We talk about his feature film debut Opus, working with musical icons The-Dream and Nile Rodgers, Ayo Edebiri's star power and the eccentricities (and graciousness) of John Malkovich. Mark Anthony shares a fantastic story of John on set and so much more before we dig a bit into his horror history and find out why Michael Jackson's Thriller music video scared him as a kid.
