Denzel Washington Dominates in the #1 Film On Netflix: “This movie had me on my toes!”
It is hard to compete with a Denzel Washington thriller. Not only is he one of the greatest living actors, but he also knows what the people want. And that’s violence, fresh locales, and a front-row seat to watch Mr. Washington work. That’s why The Equalizer 3 has remained the #1 movie on Netflix for two consecutive weeks.
If you are one of the few people unfamiliar with the final film of this trilogy, allow me to explain why fans cannot get enough of this Denzel moment.
The Official Synopsis
“Since giving up his life as a government assassin, Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) has struggled to reconcile the horrific things he’s done in the past and finds a strange solace in serving justice on behalf of the oppressed. Finding himself surprisingly at home in Southern Italy, he discovers his new friends are under the control of local crime bosses. As events turn deadly, McCall knows what he has to do: become his friends’ protector by taking on the mafia.”

The Equalizer 3 was directed by Antoine Fuqua. It was written by Richard Wenk. The script is based on a 1980s TV series, The Equalizer, created by Michael Sloan and Richard Lindheim. The final film of this trilogy stars Denzel Washington, Dakota Fanning, David Denman, and Gaia Scodellaro.
Netflix does not have the first two movies in the franchise, but both are currently streaming on other apps. You can rewatch the whole trilogy this month because The Equalizer is on Peacock, and The Equalizer 2 is on Hulu.
