New SUCCUBUS Trailer Shows Hell Is Still Just As Violent
I’d be willing to bet that most people that talk about Agony haven’t played it. It’s one of those games that’s managed to reach legendary status on reputation alone. It’s like how Citizen Kane is known as being the “best movie ever,” or how The Blair Witch Project is best known for “people thinking it’s real.” For Agony, the claim to fame is “the most disturbing game ever made.” And while I think both Hatred and Custer’s Revenge might be strong contenders, I’d be lying if I said Agony didn’t deserve its reputation.
Agony presses the boundaries of what I can comfortably admit I appreciate artistically. I’m no nun, but even I had to shield my eyes during some of the more graphic scenes in the Unrated edition. It’s kind of like Martyrs. I respect what it does, but I rarely recommend it to my friends. I mean sure, I sat through it, but I’m insane. And the people at Madmind Studio seem to get that.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t a huge fan of Agony‘s gameplay. This is largely due to me just not being a fan of the hide-and-seek simulator genre in general. So with Succubus, I’m looking forward to experiencing this visceral version of hell from the perspective of someone who kicks ass. And from the looks of the trailer above, the titular Succubus does her share of ass-kicking. I have no idea how this amount of boobs and violence made it past the YouTube content filters, so check it out while you can!
