Some surprising news is coming out of GamesCom 2013. A remake of the old Amiga (remember those?) game Shadow of the Beast is on its way exclusively to Sony’s PlayStation 4, and we have the trailer and more for you here. Dig it!
The original game was a side-scrolling action title that was released way back in 1989 and was later ported to other systems of that time. This new version seems to have more in common with modern day titles like God of War, but that’s just fine with us!
Via Wikipedia – The first game’s story is about a man named Aarbron, who was kidnapped as a child and corrupted through magic into a monstrous warrior-servant for the evil beast lord Maletoth. The creature’s memory of his human life returns when he watches a man being executed, whom he later recognizes as his father. This prompts Aarbron to seek revenge on Maletoth.
No word yet on an exact release date for the game, but it has been revealed that the PlayStation 4 will be hitting stores on November 15th. Stay tuned.
