[TGA 2019] Catch This New Maneater Trailer With Release For May 22

I’m convinced that if you’re not excited for Maneater, you don’t have a soul. Seriously, how can you not want a game where you play as Jaws? Even Jaws Unleashed was awesome despite being demonstrably terrible. With Maneater, Tripwire is doing us the courtesy of making that game but good. Thanks guys, mighty kind of you.

Stylistically titled a shARkPG, Maneater lets you take control of a killer shark that eats men (and women). You eat people to get stronger so that you can eat more people. You’ll also explore underwater labyrinths, presumably to aid in your quest to eat people. Is there a story? I thought eating people was a story. You’d read about it in the papers, so, therefore, it’s a story. More info on Maneater from the Official Press Release:

In this single-player action-RPG, players must fight to survive as a baby bull shark. Grow in power as you explore a wide range of underwater environments, from swamps and rivers to beachside resorts and the deep blue sea. Your only tools are your wits, your jaws, and the uncanny ability to evolve as you feed. Eat, explore, and evolve the ultimate killing machine in Maneater!

With the new trailer also comes the announcement that Maneater is coming on May 22nd. It will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The PC version will be hosted on the EPIC Games Store. Maneater will also be launching on the Switch in 2020. No word yet if the game will also release on Steam after a year.
