New Remothered: Broken Porcelain Welcomes You Home For The Horrordays

The original Remothered: Tormented Fathers prided itself on being a classic horror experience. Cut from the same cloth as games like Clock Tower, it harkened back to a time where games demanded you solve puzzles while fleeing in terror from unstoppable nightmare creatures. I’m not someone who idolizes classic horror, but even I can see the appeal. What’s more, the brutal violence perked me up like a nightclub key bump on Christmas Eve.

With the sequel Remothred: Broken Porcelain, Stormind Games is once again hoping to evoke that classic horror vibe. While the game isn’t out yet, this trailer certainly shows they’re on the right track. Straight up, it’s like this trailer was ripped straight from the ’80s. It’s cheesy, melodramatic, and loaded with jump scares. It’s got a Tony Todd style creepy horror narrator saying innocuous things with sinister undertones. Lots of ghosts pop out. It’s goofy, not at all subtle, and I love it.

If you’re curious about what’s in store for you in Remothered: Broken Porcelain, here’s more from the Official Press Release:

Today’s gameplay-led video tour shows patrons to their future rooms within Ashmann Inn’s sprawling interior teeming with eerie atmosphere, unspeakable secrets, and supernatural threats. With both the establishment and its residents harboring dark mysteries, the dreadfully omnipresent sense of tension filling every room makes for an unforgettable stay. Get acquainted with the inn’s uncanny decor and meet its attentive lead housekeeper by viewing the full, relentlessly creepy trailer.
