Wrath of the Gods Will Make Wicker Man a Trilogy

Wicker Man director Robin Hardy surprised us all back in 2011 when he made The Wicker Tree, a decades-later sequel to the 1973 classic. And it looks like he’s not done yet!
Screen Daily reports that Hardy is currently working on financing for Wrath of the Gods, a follow-up to the two films that he hopes to make next year. Hardy said that while “the first two films are [about] offers to the gods,” the third film in the trilogy will be “about the gods.”
This announcement comes hot on the heels of the theatrical release of The Wicker Man: The Final Cut in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the film. A never-before-seen cut of the classic, it will play in UK theaters on September 27th.
