Luigi’s Mansion 3 Gets A Ghoulish New Multiplayer DLC Pack
If you own a copy of Luigi’s Mansion 3, you might be interested to know that the game’s first Multiplayer Pack DLC is now available for a reasonable $9.99, even though it was originally scheduled to be released at the end of April.
The DLC includes three new costumes for Luigi, which disguise him as a mummy, a knight, and an Elvis knockoff names Groovigi. The costumes each incorporate their own matching themes when you wear them in the ScareScraper mode, so make sure you try on all three, as they each offer a unique gameplay experience.
In addition to the costumes, the DLC also adds three new minigames to the ScreamPark multiplayer mode. So you can look forward to using your vacuum cleaner to fire balloons at other players in Dodge Brawl matches, catching ghosts while avoiding electrical traps on the floor in Tricky Ghost Brawl, and collecting coins while avoiding flowing logs as you float down a stream on an inflatable raft in River Bank. All three of these mini-games sound incredibly varied and entertaining, and so for a price tag of just under ten dollars, there really is no excuse not to purchase this DLC if you already have a copy of Luigi’s Mansion 3. Keep in mind that Nintendo will also be releasing a second DLC pack in July, which will add even more multiplayer options.
Since it was originally released last Halloween, Luigi’s Mansion 3 has sold a total of 5.37 million copies worldwide. Which is hardly surprising, when you consider the enormous popularity of the Mario franchise to which this belongs. Interestingly, Luigi’s Mansion 3 was developed by Canadian-based Next Level Games, making it one of the few entries in the Mario series to have been developed outside of Japan. Nintendo published the game on the Switch, and so far, it’s one of the most successful exclusives to have been released on the system.
