Another lovely cast addition has been made to the two-part The Hunger Games: Mockingjay in the form of Aussie actress Stef Dawson. She joins Natalie Dormer (“Game of Thrones”), who was announced last week, and of course all the returning regulars.
Per THR, Dawson (13 Girls, Rage of Innocence) will play Annie Cresta, a victor from District 4 who is in a relationship with fellow District 4 victor Finnick Odair (Sam Claflin).
Danny Strong (HBO’s “Game Change”) has been tapped to write the two-part Hunger Games finale Mockingjay, which will follow Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) as she leads a rebellion against the tyrannical and corrupt Capitol in the futuristic land of Panem. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 will be in theatres on November 21st, 2014, with Part 2 following on November 20th, 2015.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Book Synopsis
Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has survived the Hunger Games twice. But now that she’s made it out of the bloody arena alive, she’s still not safe. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge. Who do they think should pay for the unrest? Katniss. And what’s worse, President Snow has made it clear that no one else is safe either. Not Katniss’ family, not her friends, not the people of District 12. Powerful and haunting, this thrilling final installment of Suzanne Collins’ groundbreaking The Hunger Games trilogy promises to be one of the most talked about books of the year.
