UK Readers: Get a Promo Code for Reduced Price Tickets to Afraid of the Dark!For the past few months we’ve been keeping you up-to-date with info on the upcoming play Afraid of the Dark, which kicks off next month in London and promises to remind you why you should be scared when the lights go out.

Tickets are already on sale, and today we’ve got an exclusive promo code that will slash the price of those tickets for our friends over in the UK!

All you’ve gotta do to save some pounds is head over to The Charing Cross Theatre’s website and enter the promo code TERROR, which will reduce the rate of tickets to a mere £19.50 for the first three weeks of the show. The code is valid for performances from 2nd September till 21st September 2013, excluding 11th September. It is subject to availability, at the management’s discretion, and not available in conjunction with any other discount or promotion.

Afraid of the Dark is a new brand of theatrical terror that paralyzes the audience with fear. Everyone is afraid of something. What scares you when the lights go out? Afraid of the Dark will have its World Premiere in London this autumn, playing at The Charing Cross Theatre from 2 September–26 October, with a press night on Wednesday 11 September.

In 50’s Hollywood a failing B-movie producer and his team struggle to find the next terrifying blockbuster. A mysterious stranger appears – blurring the line between nightmare and reality while worming his way into their minds, exploiting their very worst fears…

Where does your nightmare begin?

Afraid of the Dark is directed by Olivier Award winner Ian Talbot. The production is designed by Paul Farnsworth, and the lighting designer is Jason Taylor. Illusionist Darren Lang combines his background in theatre performing and magic to create bespoke illusions for stage and screen. Afraid of the Dark is produced by Maberry Theatricals, Morris Berchard, Sean Sweeney and Steven Levy.

The playwright has chosen to remain anonymous… for now…

Afraid of the Dark is not suitable for children under 12, those of a nervous disposition or for those suffering with serious heart conditions.
