Blasphemous Announces Release Date For Free DLC Stir Of Dawn

Team17 announced today Blasphemous will soon be getting a free expansion. called Stir of Dawn. Announced back in 2019, this DLC appears to be extensive, consisting of new storylines, bosses, voice acting, items, and even a New Game+. This latest content “sees playing reprising their role as The Penitent One as they seek out to awaken an ancestral power long since forgotten by the Miracle…”

Blasphemous is one of the most brutal 2D Soulslike games to come in recent memory. A massive Metroidvania that takes place in the ultra-pious land of Cvstodia. You play as the Penitent One, a self-flagellating knight wearing a large barbed wire covered dunce cap. With your Mea Culpa, a bloodletting broadsword, the Penitent One fights across nightmarish hellscapes in order to discover what happened to this otherworldly place.
