Dave Reda is an indie filmmaker we’ve been keeping our eyes on for a while now, and he dropped us a line this week to share some news about his latest project, Rotting Love.
The last we heard from Reda, he was readying a short film entitled Love Potion #8, but he’s had to put that on hold temporarily and is instead forging ahead with Rotting Love.
Here’s what Dave told us:
“I’ve got my budget, and I am going to put this NEW short film out. It’s definitely my voice… something a little romantic and yet still scary and funny too. You know, the Dave Reda horror roller coaster ride I like to take you on. This one is about zombies but very different, something with a juicy severed heart you can bite!”
“Rotting Love is going to be horribly beautiful and a lot of fun. We are dying to get going on things here within a few weeks; then it’s off to the festivals and to the people!”
He added, “I am VERY blessed to get the lovely Scream Queen Michelle Tomlinson back for it (she was previously in my last short film My Undeadly and such films as Brain Dead, Cellar Door, and George’s Intervention). Michelle always is so strong and beautiful on camera, and I know she will KILL in this new film, too (pun intended)!”
We should have more for you soon on Rotting Love. In the meantime befriend Dave Reda on Facebook, and follow Dave Reda on Twitter (@DaveReda).
