You Can Get Remnant: From the Ashes For Free This Week
If you go to the Epic Games Store for the free games every week, like I do, then you probably already got it. If not, here’s your reminder. This week you can grab Remnant: From the Ashes from the service completely for free. I’d suggest doing so.
If you haven’t played Remnant yet, the simplest way to think about it is “what if Dark Souls but third-person shooter?” You’ll explore a world that has clearly seen better days, fight monsters of all shapes and sizes, and collect rad guns that hopefully let you kill things a little better. The game is also dynamically generated, so each playthrough will have different worlds, enemies, and even boss fights. If this is all too difficult for you, tell some friends to grab the game and play co-op with you. Then you can shoot things together. As friends.
Remnant isn’t the only free game available this week. You can also grab The Alto Collection, which combines two popular mobile infinite runner games into one package. You can also also get 3 Out of 10, an episodic adventure game about a mobile game development studio. If you get on the store before 9 am EST on the 14th, you can also get the newly released grand strategy game A Total War Saga: Troy. Epic also lets us see that next week they’ll be offering a pair of twin-stick shooters with Enter the Gungeon and God’s Trigger both being available.
If you want Remnant: From the Ashes for free you can get it here until 11am EST on August 20th. If you enjoyed it, the game also has a full expansion available for purchase, and a second expansion coming out next week.
