Stuntman Lauro Chartrand Tapped to Direct Thriller Full MoonIf you look on Lauro Chartrand’s IMDb page, you will see only two directing credits but well over 200 films listed under the stunts category. A longtime stunt performer/coordinator, Chartrand has only recently begun delving into directing, and his second feature film is set to be of the thriller variety.

Darclight Films announced today that Chartrand has been hired to direct the upcoming flick Full Moon, which they just acquired. Though no plot details have been revealed, producer Daljit DJ Parmar mentioned that “Lauro Chartrand brings his high-powered stunt and special effects team to achieve unsurpassed production value that moviegoers around the world have come to demand,” leading us to believe we’ve got a special effects-heavy film on our hands.

Chartrand just recently completed his work as the stunt coordinator of the horror film Afflicted, and Clay Epstein of Arclight Films said that Full Moon will follow in its footsteps but also “create a horrifying, thrilling, and action-packed path of its own.”

Written by Nastasha Baron, the film is set to kick off production later this year.
