Ruthless Pictures Enters the Fields of the DeadJesse Baget and Ruthless Pictures continue to accumulate quite the horror library, and next out of the gate for them is the new indie flick Fields of the Dead. Check out your first word and stills right here!

Fields of the Dead stars Mark Booker, Mel Recker, Michelle Schrage, Matt Tatroe, Sarah Wald, and Chelsie Harwell.

From the Press Release
Ruthless Pictures has picked up worldwide rights to the ghostly horror film Fields of the Dead.

When seven agronomy students arrive on an abandoned farm to conduct soil research, they rouse a long-forgotten curse. As the curse threatens to destroy them, they must escape the farm or fall victim to the damned souls who haunt the blood-drenched Fields of the Dead.

“This is a movie we’re very proud of,” says producer Ehren Parks “[Writer] Scott Coleman, [director] Dan Iske, and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the Ruthless Pictures team. The company has a great vision and believes in our film, and we can’t wait to see where this road leads. Scott and Dan crafted an incredibly scary film. I’m sure horror audiences will embrace it.”

<>Iske and Coleman have just started production on Season 3 of their hit web series The Dead Hour. New episodes will premiere at The Dead Hour online this fall.

This week we're joined by Alex Henes and Matt Merenda, the filmmakers behind the yoga-horror found footage film Mind Body Spirit, which is available on demand and streaming on Shudder and AMC+. We chat about Sarah J. Bartholomew's fantastic performance, the script and more before diving into their childhoods and their very different reactions to horror as a kid. Then we chat about The Brave Little Toaster and how it destroyed all four of our childhoods. Anthropomorphic appliances, self-cannibalism, religion...this movie has it all and we laugh our way through describing just how messed up it actually is.
