New Live-Action Trailer For The Medium Brings the Scares
While virtual scares are always fantastic, it’s nice to see a bit of live action from time to time. The latest trailer for The Medium brings those kinds of scares.
While the trailer won’t show you any gameplay, it certainly features a lot of fantastic scenes and great imagery. Sure you got the usual of people yelling at things they can’t quite see, but there’s nothing like getting to watch a misshapen monstrosity charge down a hallway. The trailer was made by Platige Image, who works on plenty of cinematic stuff. Among their various commercials, they also helped with cinematics for games like The Division 2, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, and Raji: An Ancient Epic.
If you’re wondering more about how The Medium plays, the game puts you in the shoes of Mary Ann, a medium who can see into two worlds at once. This means that you’ll be controlling the same character but she’ll be in two different worlds at the same time. You’ll use this mechanic to solve puzzles and sneak around monsters. If you want a better idea, you can check out the recently released 14 minute gameplay demo that gives a solid idea of just how it’ll play.
If you’re ready to dive into the ghostly world of The Medium, the game will be available on PC and Xbox Series X|S on January 28th. You can add the game to your wishlist here.
