Resident Evil 2 Remake Cast Returns for Netflix Series

Today it was announced that the voice actors for Leon and Claire in Resident Evil 2 Remake will reprise their roles in the upcoming Resident Evil animated series on Netflix.

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, an animated series made for Netflix based on the Resident Evil series, has today announced who’ll be taking the role of main characters Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield. They didn’t have to look very hard for these roles, as they chose to grab Nick Apostolides to play Leon, and Stephanie Panisello to play Claire. Fans of the series may know them as the voice actors for Leon and Claire in 2019’s Resident Evil 2 Remake.

We also got to learn some about the plot. The series will be set in 2006, shortly after the events of Resident Evil 4. It follows Leon, who’s tasked by the government to figure out who’s snooping on the President of the United States, and Claire, who believes she has discovered a viral infection in a distant country. Somehow these two stories are intertwined, and before long the two begin working with each other to figure out what’s going on. Naturally, there’s plenty of zombie shooting along the way. Also, Leon gets a fancy suit.

While there’s still no exact release date for the series, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness will premier on Netflix sometime this year.
