A Murder of Crows Murders Monsters in Death’s Door
Newly announced at the ID@Xbox showcase, Death’s Door is Devolver Digital’s latest game, and it features one cute crow.
Made by the same team behind Titan’s Soul, Death’s Door has you playing as a Crow that reaps souls of the dead. It’s monotonous, but good, work. At least, until the soul you’re assigned to reap gets stolen. Suddenly the job isn’t so monotonous, and you have a new and exciting adventure to go on, learning about both the Crows and the doors they open to reap souls. Just make sure you don’t get killed for a paycheck, it’s completely not worth it.
To find this soul, you’ll be participating in top-down combat against huge bosses and regular enemies. Your little crow will get swords to slash people around, arrows for long-ranged attacks, and, of course, magical abilities. They’re going to need all of these abilities to survive, as the monsters aren’t particularly friendly, as expected. The trailer featured everything from giant octopuses, frogs riding their hammers like pogo sticks, and living castles. All of it seems rather exciting.
