We’re just about a month away from what is now the second remake/adaptation we’ve seen of Carrie, and art company Odd City Entertainment is celebrating with a gorgeous piece of art in tribute to Brian De Palma’s 1976 classic.
The debut poster from Odd City’s chief creative director Jessica Deahl, the blood-covered six-color print measures 16″x24″ and is limited to a run of only 150. It’s now available for purchase exclusively through Odd City Entertainment’s website, where they’re selling for $40 each.
“When Odd City asked me to take on Carrie, I couldn’t have been more excited,” said Deahl. “Now an iconic horror film more than 30 years old, the themes of fear, isolation, and estrangement are still relatable. I wanted to portray the story of Carrie White as a triumph. She overcomes the horrific and inhumane treatment of her peers and unjust religious control of her mother to win back her life. She was a prisoner in her own home, and her rage destroys it.”
Why should you order it? Because it’s awesome. And because all your friends are gonna laugh at you if you don’t!
