Blasphemous Sequel Announced

Team17 and The Game Kitchen announced a sequel to the 2019 game Blasphemous. At the moment, the Blasphemous sequel will release sometime in 2023. Currently, neither Team17 nor The Game Kitchen have released the project’s title.

This reveal came in tandem with the Wounds of Eventide announcement, a free content update for Blasphemous. Wounds of Eventide will tell the story of The Penitent One’s first journey and grant the game a true ending. It will release on December 9, dropping new bosses, areas, and items. The content update will come to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms.

“We’re so excited to finally announce that we’ve started work on a Blasphemous sequel, the community have shown so much love for the first game and we can’t wait to share more when we can! New beginnings also mean new endings, and Wounds of Eventide is exactly that, it’s the final installment for the original Blasphemous and we hope people love playing the new content as much as we loved creating it.”
