Salt and Sacrifice Launches Early 2022
Salt and Sacrifice launches early next year. The sequel to the platforming Soulslike Salt and Sanctuary will come to PCs and PlayStation 4 and 5 systems, and the PC version will be an Epic Games Store exclusive. Don’t neglect to check out the trailer.
The world of Salt and Sacrifice takes inspiration from Scandinavian folklore. Corrupt magicians cause chaos throughout the Altarstone Kingdom. Players are a Marked Inquisitor, a criminal conscripted to hunt mages and devour their hearts to purify the land. Whether alone or multiplayer with player PvP and PvE factions, you’ll acquire new weapons, abilities, and equipment before attempting to bring down the magi.
With eight starting classes, from the Fighter to Cleric to Sage, there’s plenty of replayability. What crime did they commit? What do they look like? Do they journey alone, have a temporary companion, or partake in a full co-op adventure together? When Salt and Sacrifice launches, the sky’s the limit.
Calling these others, however, invites a dark mirror counterpart to the player’s world. Bloodthirsty fighters may wish to join the Shroud Alliance, a PvP faction. Protectors can join the Dawnlight Order, helping others in need. If you’d rather play without interruptions, you can password-protect your games.
“Salt and Sacrifice builds upon everything players loved about Salt and Sanctuary. Expect even more challenges to overcome both in single-player and online play when Salt and Sacrifice arrives on PC via the Epic Game Store, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 next year!”
