Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus? Find Out 2022

Wales Interactive has announced a new FMV project titled Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus? Set to release in Q1 2022, it’s a murder mystery with a twist. Someone has attempted to murder Uncle Marcus during the family’s yearly quiz. You can pick your brain using a PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, iOS, or Android device.

Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus? will star Andy Buckley (The Office), Robbie Kay (Pinocchio, Once Upon a Time), Al Weaver (The Complex), and Georgia Small (Five Dates). It takes clear inspiration from previous Wales Interactive title Night Book, as the actors are all remote. On a first impression, it gives off the vibe of a particular Murder, She Wrote episode titled Crossed Up. The intrepid Jessica Fletcher catches wind of a plot to kill someone on a crossed phone line, but she is stuck in bed due to a back injury. She must solve the case remotely when the murder inevitably happens, putting together clues brought in by her proxies. The technology has evolved, but the principles remain.

Could it be someone in this family doesn’t enjoy a good old fashioned yearly game of Trivial Pursuit?

With its branching narratives, Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus? looks like it’ll offer a branching narrative with several different paths. The studio has not clarified whether it will include multiple endings or not, so be sure to Wishlist it on Steam. Don’t forget to Follow, too, if you want the latest info as it gets close to release. Wales Interactive also dropped an announcement trailer on their YouTube channel.

Developer Good Gate Media’s other works include Five Dates, Bloodshore, The Complex, Night Book, and the upcoming Deathtrap Dungeon. They specialize in FMV narrative games with various choices and outcomes.

Publisher Wales Interactive works frequently with Good Gate Media, but has also published Maid of Sker, Late Shift, and other adventure and FMV-styled games. Find a complete list of their works on Steam.
