Evil Dead: The Game Releasing May 13
Groovy! Evil Dead: The Game will bring PvP and PvE multiplayer action on May 13, according to Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games. Pick it up on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PCs via the Epic Games Store. Pre-orders went live yesterday, along with a trailer paying tribute to the original film. It’s got a distinctly early-80s vibe, so give it a watch if you want some campy horror. They expect a release on the Nintendo Switch in the future, but have not provided a specific date yet.
In addition to the standard version of Evil Dead: The Game, you can get your mitts on two special Collector’s Editions. Both editions will feature rare, official collectibles and will come in limited quantities. The Deluxe Edition comes with a Season Pass 1, exclusive in-game skin for Ash designed by Tom Savini, an original vinyl soundtrack, exclusive T-shirt, and five art cards. This retails for $124.99 or your regional equivalent. The Ultimate Collector’s Edition includes all of the above in addition to a full-size replica of the Evil Dead II Necronomicon by Trick or Treat Studios (and licensed by STUDIOCANAL) for $199.99 or your regional equivalent. Grab all of these pre-order bonuses from the Boss Team Games official store. All pre-order versions include the S-Mart Employee Outfit and Gallant Knight Outfit for Ash Williams.
As for the game itself, it brings the biggest players in the franchise together for an over-the-top gorefest against the forces of darkness. Assemble a team of four from characters such as Ash, Kelly Maxwell, Pablo Simon Bolivar, Scotty, Lord Arthur, and more. Kill some Deadites and banish the Kandarian Demon. Or, if you’re feeling spicy, you can become the Demon and devour their souls instead! With over two dozen weapons and bonus single-player missions, acquire perks and move down a skill tree and hopefully survive the night!
