Monstrum 2 Announces Launch Date, Teaser Trailer

Asymmetrical multiplayer horror game Monstrum 2 will exit Early Access on September 6, according to an announcement from Junkfish yesterday. Find it on Steam, along with a 10% off launch discount which will run from September 6 until September 12. A trailer accompanied the announcement.

Four prisoners attempt to escape Sparrowlock, a Hong-Sha Miller research facility repurposed from an old sea fortress. As we all know, horrible things live in the ocean, and this rusting tin can offers little safety. Each match generates a new array of rooms and challenges. As a prisoner, you’ll need to cooperate with your allies to scavenge items and escape. Avoid the monster, and your only hope when it spots you is to run. As the monster, you can take control of the hunting Bhagra, the ferocious Brute, or the telekinetic Malacosm to slay the prisoners. All of it takes place in first person to leave you at the edge of your seat.

“We are thrilled to finally be moving Monstrum 2 out of Early Access and into full release. The game has been one of the most ambitious titles we’ve tackled and Early Access has allowed us to experiment with the community to see what works and what doesn’t. We are truly grateful for all of the support we have received from the community and we are very much looking forward to this new phase of the game.”
