A24 just dropped a new trailer for the highly anticipated Love Lies Bleeding. The film is the second feature helmed by Rose Glass (Saint Maud) and stars Kristen Stewart (Crimes of the Future and Personal Shopper). So it already had the internet talking even before we got the first peek of the ripped, queer, and romantic tale of revenge. Here is everything you need to know about the movie and the newest glimpse of this bodybuilding crime horror movie.

Per the synopsis,

“From Director Rose Glass comes an electric new love story; reclusive gym manager Lou falls hard for Jackie, an ambitious bodybuilder headed through town to Vegas in pursuit of her dream. But their love ignites violence, pulling them deep into the web of Lou’s criminal family.”

Love Lies Bleeding is directed by Rose Glass. The film stars Kristen Stewart, Katy O’Brian, Jena Malone, Anna Baryshnikov, Dave Franco, and Ed Harris.

The movie recently premiered at Sundance Film Festival as one of their Midnight films. It stunned horror fiends at the fest, including Dread Central’s Chad Collins. Collins wrote in his review,

“Genre nuts will bathe in the grotesque violence, Cronenbergian body horror (Glass and co-writer Weronika Tofilska revel in the expansion of human flesh, crackling bones and all), and erotic sense of ever-mounting tension. When Love Lies Bleeding hits its stride, it never lets up. You’ll bleed out yourself before it arrives at its unhinged, fervent finale.”
