This Brutal and Celebrated Slasher is Butchering the Netflix Charts: “This movie is a riot”

A new horror movie hit Netflix weekend and immediately shot to the #2 spot on the app. It seems fans were hungry for a gory slasher because they gobbled this title up like holiday leftovers. We are talking about Thanksgiving, of course. If you missed this title in theaters last year, you can now watch it in the comfort of your home. Feast your eyes on the synopsis and trailer below. 

Per the synopsis,

“After a Black Friday riot ends in tragedy, a mysterious Thanksgiving-inspired killer terrorizes Plymouth, Massachusetts — the birthplace of the holiday. Picking off residents one by one, what begins as random revenge killings are soon revealed to be part of a larger, sinister holiday plan. Will the town uncover the killer and survive the holidays… or become guests at his twisted holiday dinner table?”

Fans are applauding this holiday slasher for its gore. Some were even surprised by the killer reveal.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is directed by Eli Roth. The screenplay was written by Jeff Rendell. It is based on a fake trailer of the same name created by Eli Roth and Jeff Rendell. The trailer was made as part of a series of fictional trailers for Grindhouse. The cast includes Patrick Dempsey, Addison Rae, Milo Manheim, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Nell Verlaque, Rick Hoffman, and Gina Gershon.

The film hit theaters on November 17, 2023, in time for turkey season. It then went to Video On Demand on December 19, 2023. It finally reached Netflix audiences on February 17th.
