Level Zero Bringing 4v2 Horror Next Year
Level Zero is an upcoming sci-fi horror PvP experience set in a research facility in 2058. Catch it on PCs, Xboxes, and PlayStations next year. Check out the three minute trailer with a goodly amount of gameplay on the tinyBuild YouTube channel.
Four players will become human scientists. The power in their research facility is failing, and they must repair the power systems. Light is life, and darkness is death, as nightmares lurk within the shadows. With coordination and communication, they’ll have to track down tools, repair fuse panels, and make use of flares and glowsticks to fend off the darkness. The other two players in this 4v2 experience become respawning monsters. While powerful and deadly in darkness, they’re vulnerable to bright light. Use their living land mines, sharp claws, EMP blasts, and screams to kill the scientists. The only thing you have to fear is the light, which will burn you to ash before you can respawn.
Level Zero deviates from the more common 4v1 asymmetrical multiplayer horror experience popularized by titles such as Dead by Daylight. Wishlist it on Steam and keep an eye on the news for upcoming beta events. To hop into the closed beta, you can sign up on the official website.
Developer DogHowl Games works out of the Ukraine. The game development team bills itself as a “small yet talented crew” that is “following out dream to create truly unforgettable gaming experiences.” Level Zero is the studio’s debut project, slated for launch in 2023.
