More Details on Paradox Entertainment's ReclaimEarlier this week we got the first word on Reclaim, a thriller coming our way from Paradox Entertainment, and now an official press release containing more details has arrived. Read on to learn the latest.

From the Press Release:
RECLAIM, a new suspense-thriller inspired by real-life events, with a dynamic and powerful cast that includes JOHN CUSACK, RYAN PHILLIPPE, RACHELLE LEFEVRE, JACKI WEAVER, and LUIS GUZMÁN, is about to make the move from pre-production into production.

“We’re beyond excited to start production on what is shaping up to be a thrilling ride,” said producers Fredrik Malmberg and Silvio Muraglia of Paradox Entertainment.

“We’ve assembled a brilliant cast and have an extremely talented director who will deliver something truly unique and unforgettable,” added producers Brian and Josh Etting of Garlin Pictures.

Written by award-winning Australian writer LUKE DAVIES (Candy), based on an original screenplay by CARMINE GAETA and directed by internationally acclaimed commercial director ALAN WHITE (Erskineville Kings), RECLAIM is a penetrating thriller in which nothing is what it seems to be.

RECLAIM is a story of shocking twists and turns that starts out with Steven (RYAN PHILLIPPE) and Shannon (RACHELLE LEFEVRE), a young, happy-go-lucky American couple, who travel to Puerto Rico to finalize the adoption of their new seven-year-old daughter, a Haitian orphan named Nina. Charmed by the picturesque island and eager to bond with their new daughter, Steven and Shannon take advantage of their time in Puerto Rico to explore the idyllic coast and see the sights as a family, confident they are just days from returning home to begin their new lives together.

Events take an alarming turn, however, when Steven clashes with an intimidating local (JOHN CUSACK) and things go from strange to absolutely terrifying when Nina disappears from her bed one night. Despite frantic efforts to recover their daughter, the young couple hit roadblock after roadblock and become increasingly desperate once their trusted connection from the adoption agency (JACKI WEAVER) also goes missing. Their only ally seems to be Commandante Diaz (LUIS GUZMÁN). As the couple find themselves further entwined in a perplexing web of lies and confusion, their own relationship begins to unravel, and things take an even more startling turn toward the unexpected.

“We’re excited to be handling international sales for RECLAIM and to introduce this commercially viable film with a fantastically thrilling edge to buyers around the globe,” said Gary Hamilton, Managing Director of Arclight Films. “Working with Paradox, Brian and Josh Etting, and such a gifted cast will make our job that much easier.”

RECLAIM is produced by Brian Etting (A Good Old Fashion Orgy, Relative Strangers), Josh Etting (Relative Strangers, The Godfather of Green Bay), Fredrik Malmberg (Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, Let Me In, Reasonable Doubt), Gary Hamilton (Lord of War, The Bank Job, Wolf Creek), Silvio Muraglia (Prayers for Bobby, Tale of the Mummy, High Speed), Mike Gabrawy (Bait, Resident Evil), Robert Luketic (21, Paranoia), and Ian Sutherland (Variety Parade, Hot News).

RECLAIM has just moved into the production stage. Principal shooting takes place in Puerto Rico.

Arclight Films is handling international sales; Paradox is handling domestic sales.
