Fear the Reaper in this New Trailer for A Grim BecomingEver wonder where reapers come from? A Grim Becoming explores that concept, and a new trailer has arrived for the horror comedy from Adam R. Steigert that’s set for release in June of next year.

The film stars Buffalo, New York’s Brandyn Williams, Michael Sciabarrasi, Patrick Mallette, Christopher Brechtel, Mike Sarcinelli, and Aryn Fitzgerald as well as actors Britt Griffith, Devanny Pinn, Bill Oberst, Jr., Jessica Cameron, Melantha Blackthorne, Lynn Lowry, Valerie Lynn Hanna, and Melyssa Jade.

A Grim Becoming has a slated release date of June 21, 2014, and is directed by Adam R. Steigert and written for the screen by Janeen Avery, Christopher Brechtel, Mark Mendola, and Steigert.

Steigert had this to say about the project: “A Grim Becoming was a fun and hard project to work on. I don’t think there was an easy day during filming. One of my favorite things about this project is that we used a lot of puppetry in this film. So when you watch the finished project, a lot of the creature effects look so natural because we did them practically: no CGI involved. I even at times worked as a puppeteer during filming. When it came to working with as many indie icons as we had on this film, I was even taken aback at times, saying: ‘How the hell did I get a chance to direct so many horror icons on one project?’ I am seriously looking forward to seeing what an audience thinks about the final product because a lot of these actors are taken out of the normal types of roles they play in films.”

Synopsis:
A Grim Becoming follows Raphael (Williams) , a young, bitter executive who is on the verge of losing a multimillion dollar architectural deal with a large company led by the awkward Stanford brothers. A sudden death in his family has Raphael leaving to go to his home town of Metzburgh to attend the funeral. Seeing this as his big chance to get ahead is Wayne, a jealous co-worker, who is in competition with Raphael. As Raphael returns to Metzburgh, he experiences a life changing event: witnessing a Grim Reaper taking a soul. This sighting results in Raphael becoming a Reaper and having to explore his own conscience and the lengths he will go to get his life back. But Death, who goes by the more human name of Magoo (Sciabarrasi), has other plans for the naive young executive.
