Around these parts we’re big big fans of writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, and any time some news surfaces concerning horror’s golden duo, we get really excited. We’re especially excited to hear about their Neighbor.
Screen Daily reports that London-based sales outfit Salt has inked a German-speaking Europe and Benelux deal with Splendid Film on their new horror-thriller The Neighbor from well-known genre writers Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton. Dunstan, who wrote Feast, Saw IV, V, and VI with Melton and was director of The Collector and its sequel, The Collection (also both written by Melton), will direct. Producers are Brett Forbes and Patrick Rizzotti of Fortress Features. Casting is under way.
The Neighbor is set in New Mexico, and the film follows a man who discovers the dark truth about his secretive neighbor and what, or whom, he may be keeping in the cellar.
