Short Film Welcome to Willits: After Sundown Gives Us a Glimpse at Upcoming Creature Feature

Over the summer we showed you a minute-long concept trailer for Welcome to Willits, an indie creature feature from Metamorphic Films and Real Horror Show Pictures that is set to star Scott Pilgrim vs. The World‘s Mark Webber.
Today we’ve got the full 14-minute proof of concept short film for ya, which gives you a better idea of what you can expect from the flick. Dig in below!
Webber plays pot farmer Brock, who along with some unlucky campers runs into mysterious creatures in the Northern California woods that are responsible for several abductions and attacks. The project is described as capturing a throwback feel with a dash of comedy mixed in with the horror.
Willits will film in LA and Kern County’s Sequoia National Forest under helmers Trevor Ryan and Tim Ryan, aka the Ryan Brothers, who wrote and will direct the movie together. Teresa Zales will produce for Transmedia Content and management company Metamorphic Films alongside Tim Ryan’s Real Horror Show Pictures. The team has tapped Monster FX’s Ron Karkosa and Mark Villalobos to handle creature design and special effects.
