Combs on Parasomnia Status
All has been very quiet on the front of Bill Malone’s latest horror opus, Parasomnia, for a while now (“Tons of New Parasomnia Pics!” – August 2007); and according to star Jeffrey Combs, that’s exactly the way Malone wants it right now.
”Bill wants to keep it under wraps until it’s done. I saw a short screening of what he has done so far, and it’s very visionary,” he told Sci Fi Wire in a recent interview. Malone financed the entire film himself and doesn’t want anyone to get a look at it until he’s 100% happy with the finished film, which you have to respect, even if it is taking longer than some would like.
The film follows a man who meets a woman while visiting a friend in the hospital and become enraptured with her. She suffers from the titular disease, which makes her sleep 23 hours a day, but the man can’t help his feelings for her so he breaks her out of the hospital. When she awakens in a car, she’s petrified, having never been outside of the hospital, but what’s waiting in her dream world is much more terrifying.
You can see a huge selection of stills from the film over at the official Parasomnia site, and hopefully look forward to more info about the movie very soon!
