We don’t know much about Relativity’s upcoming Crow reboot, a project that has already been plagued by legal issues and negative screenplay reactions. All we know for sure is that Luke Evans will take flight as the titular vengeance-seeker, and director F. Javier Gutierrez is looking to stay very faithful to the original comics.
All sounds good to me so far, and this latest rumor sounds even better.
According to the website Schmoes Know, “Walking Dead” star Norman Reedus is being eyed to play a character named James. According to their sources, he is the top choice to play the character, though we have no way of knowing just who this James fellow is. Perhaps one of the bad guys that Draven goes after? Now that I’d like to see!
This is of course only a rumor at this point, so take it with a grain of salt. The site also reports that Kristen Stewart was at one point considered for a part, but the producers and studio apparently feared that she wouldn’t be able to attract an audience.
The film is being produced by Ed Pressman, Kevin Misher, Relativity’s CEO Ryan Kavanaugh, and Jeff Most. Exec producers include Relativity’s president Tucker Tooley, The Weinstein Co.’s Harvey and Bob Weinstein, and Farah Films’ Dan Farah.
