‘Possessions’ Trailer Teases Haunted Storage Units And Terrifying Children [Exclusive]

Possessions

Storage facilities are criminally underused settings for horror films. Sure, there are a few cool storage unit set pieces in films like Silence of the Lambs, but the potential of such a place has yet to be tapped. Thankfully, in his upcoming horror film Possessions, writer and director Brent Cote tries to right this genre wrong with a film set almost entirely at a storage facility.

In Possessions:

“After tragically losing his wife, Pete and his son Tyler move cross country and purchase the Plaza Square Storage facility and the apartment within it. Pete soon realizes that his dream of owning a business is not all it’s cracked up to be, as many of the units are vacant and owe payments. As Pete works to sort through this, Tyler begins to exhibit strange behavior, such as horrible nightmares and moments of demonic possession. Pete takes him to a therapist, Dr. Young to find out if Tyler is just acting out after the death of his mother, or if something more sinister has taken hold.”

While growing up in a maze of storage units sounds cool, Cote ensures that here, it’s terrifying. With stark lighting and one great creepy kid, Possessions is ready to shock you!

Clive Standen (Vikings), Mason Wells, K.C. Clyde (Yellowstone), and Yeardley Smith (the voice of Lisa Simpson) star in the film.

Possessions is slated to hit digital on May 3, 2024.
