‘Nosferatu’ Teaser Trailer: New Robert Eggers’ Film Will Have You By The Throat [Watch]
Focus Features has given us a cure for the Mondays with the first official teaser trailer from Robert Eggers’ highly anticipated adaptation of the iconic vampire tale Nosferatu. We get Lily-Rose Depp in the throes of anguish, Nicholas Hoult in a top hat, a mustachioed Willem Dafoe, and brief glimpses at Bill Skarsgard’s rendition of the titular bloodsucker.
Based on the 1922 film of the same name directed by F.W. Murnau, Nosferatu, per Focus Features, “is a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire infatuated with her, causing untold horror in its wake.”

This is Eggers’ fourth film, following his 2022 Viking revenge thriller The Northman starring another Skarsgård, Alexander Skarsgård to be precise. The director is also four for four on period pieces dripping in dread (and hopefully a decent amount of blood), showcasing how much his brand of horror lives squarely in the past.
Bill Skarsgård, Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, Ralph Ineson, Simon McBurney, and Willem Dafoe star in the film.
Nosferatu comes exclusively to theaters on Wednesday, December 25, 2024. Frankly, there’s no better way to embrace the holiday spirit than a vampire film!
