‘Heretic’ Trailer: Hugh Grant Wants You To Come Inside
Scott Beck and Bryan Woods are back with a film that begs the question, “Would you go into a house if Hugh Grant invited you in?” The horror filmmaking duo is harnessing the British charms of the A-list star in their new horror-thriller Heretic.
In the film, per A24,
“Two young missionaries are forced to prove their faith when they knock on the wrong door and are greeted by a diabolical Mr. Reed (Hugh Grant), becoming ensnared in his deadly game of cat-and-mouse.“

Beck and Woods are coming off their dinosaur-epic 65 and returning to their Haunt roots with a smaller-scale horror film, tackling psychology and potential religious trauma. Sophie Thatcher (Yellowjackets) and Chloe East (The Fabelmans) play the two young missionaries. Horror hasn’t often tackled those types of characters (sans the young boys in The Strangers) so it’ll be fascinating to see what horrors await these two servants of God.
Heretic comes exclusively to theaters on November 15, 2024.
