If you loved Ghostwatch, and have been craving something like what Lesley Manning delivered in 1992, look no further than Dominic O’Neill’s featured film debut Haunted Ulster Live. Set on Halloween night, this horror comedy is full of wild twists and turns. After a successful festival fun, the film is arriving on Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting’s streaming service Screambox just in time for Halloween!

Read the full synopsis below:

Haunted Ulster Live takes viewers back to 1998, where a live broadcast from a haunted house goes terrifyingly wrong. The footage is so disturbing that it hasn’t been seen in 25 years. On Halloween night, TV veteran Gerry Burns teams up with popular children’s presenter Michelle Kelly to investigate poltergeist activity in a haunted house in Belfast.

O’Neill wrote and directed the film, as well as produced it with Will McConnell. Mark Claney, Aimee Richardson, and Siobhan Kelly star in the film.

“We’re found footage fanatics, and devotees of the genre will hopefully enjoy the faux doc chills of Haunted Ulster Live,” said O’Neill. “We grew up on old Irish and British horror TV, the kind of TV that makes you want to hide behind the couch when you’re a kid! Our film is firmly rooted in ‘90s Belfast, drawing from the rich well of Irish folk stories and the conflict of that time.”

The deal was negotiated by Brandon Hill, Director of Acquisitions, on behalf of Cineverse, and Dominic O’Neill and Will McConnell of Beyond Visible Films.

Haunted Ulster Live comes to Screambox and VOD this fall. Keep an eye on Dread Central for more updates as we have them!
