‘13th Summer’ Exclusive Trailer: Trouble In Paradise
It’s easy to fall into a monotonous routine with your long-term romantic partner. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, but if it goes unnoticed, resentment starts to build. And in the new Australian thriller 13th Summer, director Tam Sainsbury and writer Jeremy Stanford show what can happen when that resentment explodes.
In the film:
During their annual vacation to the beach, two vacationing sweethearts Ben and Vee encounter a mysterious hiker who draws them into a twisted web of lies, deceit, revenge and ultimately, murder.

Sainsbury follows in a long line of genre filmmakers who have cut their teeth on more saccharine holiday fare. Her most recent feature was Perfect Messy Holiday, which is essentially an Australian Hallmark movie. This, like the filmmakers before her, shows Sainsbury’s versatility and ability to work in any genre.
Nathan Philips (Wolf Creek), Hannah Levien (Brand New Cherry Flavor), Georgie Parker (All Saints), and Ben Turland (Neighbours) star in the film.
13th Summer comes to VOD on August 6, 2024 from Indican Pictures.
