This Shocking and Divisive Rob Zombie Chiller Is Now Streaming on Prime Video
The majority of Rob Zombie’s cinematic output is beloved by some and abhorred by others. And there isn’t a whole lot of middle ground on most of his films. If you are in the pro-Zombie camp, we’ve got good news for you. The director’s violent tale of carnival-infused terror, 31, Has been added to the Prime Video platform.
In all honesty, I didn’t really vibe with this one. I’m a fan of House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil’s Rejects, and The Lords of Salem. But this particular effort didn’t quite connect for me. And it seems I’m not the only one with whom this divisive effort didn’t resonate. The flick sits at a less-than-stellar 47% critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Additionally, the film holds a user score of just 5.1 out of 10 on IMDb.

Based on the general consensus, I don’t think it’s too controversial to say that 31 isn’t Zombie’s best work. But if you have a soft spot for the film, head over to Prime Video and give it some love.
For anyone unfamiliar with the setup, 31 plays out like this: Five carnival workers are kidnapped the night before Halloween and held hostage in a large compound. At the mercy of their captors, the abductees are forced to play a twisted game of life or death called 31. For the next 12 hours, they must fight for their lives against an endless parade of homicidal maniacs.
